Having tried a camper trailer (thanks to the guys at Johnnos campers) and baulking a little at the investment we borrowed our neighbours box trailer and loaded it up instead. Half the attraction of a camper trailer is the fold out tent, the other half is there is lots of room in the trailer for all the stuff a young family might need. So we headed out to the darling downs for 10 days, a bit over a week. Along the way we camped at Best brook mountain resort. There is tons of stuff to do here for the kids (being a farm stay) and lots of room to spread out as well. Next up we headed to Girraween, though decided to stay at Sommerville Valley on Storm King dam instead of Girraween – and great decision as its not nearly as crowded and very nice accommodations too.
